SLU Gets an "Old-Fashioned Butt-Kicking," and Other College Hoops News

The Billikens' woes on the road continued last night when they were manhandled by Temple, losing 65-40

The only stat you really need to know is that SLU shot 20 percent from the field while allowing Temple to make 64 percent. They never got within fifteen points in the second half.

Adding injury to insult, up-and-coming freshman point guard Kwamain Mitchell suffered a concussion during garbage time late in the first half and had to be hauled off the court on a stretcher. Majerus and Co. have to be summoning the collective prayers of every Jesuit SLU has to spare that Mitchell's play isn't affected by the injury because they have absolutely no one who can replace him.

Kevin Lisch played so poorly in the game that the reporter mistook him for another Lisch entirely. From last night's recap: "Leading scorer Rusty Lisch, averaging 13.8 points, was held scoreless and missed all 10 of his shots."

SLU hosts Richmond, a team that's tied for third place in the A-10, on Sunday. Check back Monday for a full Rundown re-cap of that match-up.
