Matt Krentz, director of
Streetballers and a recipient of an
RFT MasterMind award in August, has received another accolade -- "Best Feature" at the St. Louis International Film Festival.
Krentz was bestowed with the honor after audiences voted his film -- shot on location in St. Louis -- as their favorite of the ten-day event.
The 17th annual version of the festival ran from November 13 to November 23. More than 19,000 people attended. Festival organizers stated in a release that attendance was 3,500 more than last year, proving that perhaps movies are recession proof -- well at least for fans of indie films if not big-budget Hollywood flops.
RFT writer Chad Garrison profiled Krentz in July in
