It's not even Thanksgiving yet, much less the official beginning of winter. That doesn't come 'til December 21.

But we could still see snow this weekend in St. Louis. The consensus among local forecasters is that temperatures will dip into the 20s on Saturday. Coupled with high odds of precipitation, well, it's looking like the white stuff could be on its way. The National Weather Service notes there's a chance of rain/snow on Friday night and then a slight chance — about 20 percent — on Saturday.

That's lower odds than what was predicted a day ago, when weather.com put our chance of snow Saturday at 60 percent. But the consensus seems to be that this is happening — and that winter temps are officially coming our way.

The good news? Any Saturday snow will probably melt by the afternoon when highs of 41 degrees are predicted.

The bad news? This is only the beginning. Forget about those 60-degree temps we saw last weekend. The new normal is looking more like 40.
