A semipro football player with the River City Eclipse was murdered on the streets of Midtown early Sunday morning.

Police say 29-year-old Stacey Johnson was leaving The Loft Jazz Club with some of his fellow teammates around 3 a.m. Sunday when they got in an argument with another group of men.
