Hosie Taylor, age 36, has been taken into custody in connection with the murder of Deirdre Exum, according to the St. Louis County Police.

Exum, a former county security guard, was found dead on Friday in her Florissant townhouse when firefighters responded to a blaze there.

Authorities say Exum had died of "blunt force trauma" before the fire was set.
