Sixteen-year-old Kenneth Allen of Cahokia, Illinois, was just blocks from his home Tuesday night when gunmen ambushed the teenager and several of his friends.

The May 5 incident occurred at approximately 9:45 p.m. near the address of 91 Laura Lee Drive outside Columbia. Allen died of multiple gunshot wounds. Another teen survived the attack with a bullet graze and did not require medical attention.

On Friday police arrested two St. Clair County teenagers and charged them with Allen's murder:  DeShawn L. Bell, 18, of 502 S. 50th St. in Centreville, and Travon D. Watson, 18, of Laura Lee Drive.

Authorities say the shooting may have stemmed from a "disagreement over a female." Bell and Watson are being held in the St. Clair County Jail on $1 million bail.
