NBC Nightly News revived its "Fleecing of America" series last night with a report on a St. Louis boondoggle: the $321 million Mid-America Airport, "a lovely airport with no scheduled flghts," in Mascoutah, Illinois.

And St. Clair County Board Chairman Mark Kern refuses to be even be interviewed inside the sparkling -- but empty -- terminal.
