You may also be wondering if anyone else in the nation is getting as much rain as we've had in the past two weeks. The answer to that question? No.
But don't just take my word for it. Here's a map I found this morning from the National Weather Service showing rainfall in the continental U.S. from June 2-16. As you can see, no region of the country has experienced more rainfall than we have here in Missouri with some parts of the state getting more than eight inches of precipitation this month.
And our misery continues. This morning the weather service issued a flash-flood watch for the St. Louis region through noon today and a hazardous weather outlook for the next five days in which we're expected to receive more rain interspersed with warm temperatures (heat indexes of 105 degrees) and humidity.
Ahh, summertime in St. Louis. Is there anywhere better?
