"Totally Disgusting:" 19 FCC Complaints About Michael Sam Kissing His Boyfriend on ESPN

Remember when people got all in an uproar over Michael Sam smooching his boyfriend on ESPN after the St. Louis Rams drafted Sam into the NFL?

There was the former college athlete who pretended his ignorant tweets were part of some strange science experiment. Then that Christian activist called for a nationwide boycott of the Rams (who would notice?) and Visa. Daily RFT's favorite freakout, though, had to be the Texan talk show host who stormed off set on air.

But for those who don't have their own talk show or Twitter fanbase to complain to, there's always the Federal Communications Commission.

Twenty people reported ESPN's "obscene" and "offensive" footage of Sam kissing boyfriend Vito Cammisano to the FCC, and those complaints are now public thanks to a Freedom of Information Act request from Deadspin.

Most of the complaints come from parents didn't want their kids exposed to images of Sam and Cammisano kissing and smushing cake on each others' faces:
