St. Louis' participation in the Big Latch On
, part of World Breastfeeding Week (August 1-7), took place in Tower Grove Park -- just outside the farmers' market.
Some 23 St. Louis mothers nursed 25 babies and tots (yes, two of the participants were pulling double duty) to join thousands of mothers elsewhere in setting a Big Latch On record with 8,862 nursing moms.
Sadly, though, that effort failed to break the world record established in 2010 under a similar competition launched in the Philippines that had 9,826 nursing mothers.
But, hey, the kids Saturday thought it was tits, regardless.
