Who the Hell Steals Body Bags from the Coroner's Office?

The answer to that question apparently is Donna Myers, morgue supervisor for the St. Louis County Medical Examiner.

According to this morning's Post-Dispatch, Myers was arrested back in February and booked on suspicion of stealing body bags and cleaning supplies from the coroner's office.

A quick look at eBay and craigslist, reveals that there is virtually no secondary market for body bags. Type "body bag" into either site, and you'll get returns for women's purses or punching bags.

So what did Myers do with her stolen merchandise? She allegedly sold the body bags to local funeral homes.

Oh, and she may have also stolen a diamond earring from a corpse. Myers has worked for the medical examiner's office since 1988 and makes $42k a year.
