There's a story in today's
Los Angeles Times about a curious new product in New York City.
An entrepreneur there has begun bottling the city's tap water and selling it in stores for $1.50 per bottle. He calls his product "Tap'd NY: Purified New York City Tap Water."
Craig Zucker, 29, tells the
LA Times that he got the idea after he and his friends discussed how good the water in New York tastes. "It doesn't require energy or pumping," says Zucker, "and it's so pure and clean."
Perhaps someone should try the same business in St. Louis. After all, just two years ago we won the title of "Best Tasting City Water In America" -- at least, according to a group of
blindfolded mayors.
