Yolanda Washington: St. Louis Woman Runs Down Repo Man

The St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office this week charged Yolanda Washington with second-degree assault and armed criminal action. Her weapon? An automobile behind on its lease.

According to the probable cause statement, an employee of a car dealership was trying to get Washington out of a vehicle when when she sped off dragging the repo man down the street in the process. A short distance away, the dealership employee fell of the car and into the 8200 block of Hall Street in north St. Louis. He had just stood up when Washington allegedly whipped a u-turn and came straight at him.

A witness on the scene last Friday told police that Washington could have veered in either direction to avoid striking the repo man but instead ran right into him.
