Your Weekly St. Louis Bestseller List

Here's your weekly St. Louis bestseller list for the week ending May 20, as compiled by the St. Louis Independent Booksellers Alliance and based on sales at Left Bank Books, Main Street Books, Pudd'nhead Books, Subterranean Books and Sue's News.

Publishers must be eternally grateful for the advent of the trilogy trend. Why buy one book when you can buy three? This week, we have all three 50 Shades books on the adult bestseller list and all three Hunger Games books on the kids' list.

Elsewhere on the list -- we don't want to make assumptions about your dad, but if he's a Cards fan and is of a certain age, he'll be wanting Tim Wendel's Summer of '68, making its debut at number three, for Father's Day. Also new to the list this week is Killer Stuff and Tons of Money, Mizzou prof Maureen Stanton's chronicle of a year in the life of an antique dealer.
