At Eastertide, parents' fancy lightly turns to reading their offspring books about bunny rabbits.

Here's your weekly St. Louis bestseller list for the week ending April 24, as compiled by the St. Louis Independent Booksellers Alliance and based on sales at Left Bank Books, Main Street Books, Pudd'nhead Books, Subterranean Books, Sue's News and The Book House.

Looking at this week's bestseller list, you may feel a strange sense of déja vu. Yes, both number 1 slots the adult and children's lists are occupied by exactly the same titles as last week: The Heart and the Fist: The Education of a Humanitarian, the Making of a Navy SEAL by Eric Greitens and The Emerald Atlas by John Stephens. Also, you've probably noticed The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot, Bossypants by Tina Fey, The Help by Kathryn Stockett, The Wilder Life by Wendy McClure and Of Thee I Sing: A Letter To My Daughters by Barack Obama on these lists before. Not to mention classic picture books about rabbits. (This week it's The Runaway Bunny by Margaret Wise Brown.)

And why, yes, your eyes aren't deceiving you, that is Mary Higgins Clark on both the adult and children's list.

The rabbit thing is easily explained by Easter. As for the rest, well, who can resist a hometown hero (besides commenter anonymous who wrote of Greitens, "helping injured imperialist babykillers is humanitarian work?"), the latest fantasy epic and the fascinating tale of the woman whose cells will live forever?
