St. Louis' Paralympian Kerri Morgan Rolls Into Fifth Place -- Again

St. Louis Paralympian Kerri Morgan today took fifth-place in the women’s 100-meter wheelchair track race at the Beijing Paralympic Games. Canadian Michelle Stilwell earned the gold medal with a time of 19.97 seconds, setting a new world record.

Although Morgan missed the medals podium, she logged a season-best and placed first among the U.S. competitors in the race, posting a time of 21.56 seconds.

Last week, Morgan also took fifth in the 200-meter event. Check her out in this photo (she’s in the middle of the pack, wearing the navy bandanna) or in this highlights video (skip ahead to the 32-minute mark for Morgan’s race).
