Kenneth Gladney: Tea Party Zero

Shhh! Don't tell Kenneth Gladney's attorney -- David Brown -- the news. He and his client are likely to get so angry they might hold a protest right outside the doors of the Riverfront Times.

But, hey, it's not our fault. Like our favorite television network, all we do is report the news. You decide!

And by an overwhelming margin, you the readers of Daily RFT have decided that Kenneth Gladney, hero of the St. Louis Tea Party, is this week's Ass Clown.

More than half of voters (55 percent) thought Gladney deserved the prize for his role in a press conference last week demanding that the NAACP investigate his alleged beating at the hands of union members.

On Friday, Gladney's attorney objected to our depiction of his client. You can read his list of grievances here.

Exactly 20 percent of voters chose Darius Chappille -- the man who took off his clothes on an Oakland to St. Louis flight -- as Ass Clown. Coming in third with 19 percent of the vote was Elizabeth Thrasher, the St. Peters woman charged last week with cyber harrassing a 17-year-old girl. Last place went to the Crestwood newlyweds whose honeymoon hike -- on LSD -- ended with the bride in the hospital and the groom booked for drug charges.
