For the first time since upsetting University of Illinois in week one of the college football season, the Mizzou Tigers are a "ranked team," earning the No. 24 slot in this week's Associated Press poll.

The football team slid into the Top 25 by doing something it hasn't done all season -- not win a game. For the past several weeks the undefeated Tigers had been on the cusp of a national ranking, appearing as one of the top vote-getters among teams not ranked among the nation's best.

But it wasn't until this week, when the team sat out with a bye, that the 4-0 Tigers returned to the Top 25 -- thanks to Houston, Georgia and Michigan losing their rankings.

Mizzou's new status as a Top 25 team should help draw viewers when the team takes on No. 21 Nebraska Thursday night in Columbia. Early odd have Missouri as 2.5 point favorites
