UPDATED 12/1/09 10:45 a.m.: Don't think there's a wall between the editorial and advertising departments at Riverfront Times? Think again, dear reader.

Since posting this item we've been informed that cooler heads prevailed and the Family Arena remains aboard the good ship RFT. Talk about your Christmas miracles!

More good news: The Tesh giveaway's still on. If you want the dozen tix to Tesh, leave us your most scintillating comment below and they could be yours...

A certain post on Daily RFT recently cost Riverfront Times our advertising contract with St. Charles Family Arena.

But here is where our loss is your gain:

The Family Arena must continue its contractual obligation with RFT through the end of the year, which includes providing us free tix to events like this Saturday's sure-to-be-memorable Christmas with John Tesh concert

Feeling in the holiday spirit, we're now prepared to pass these tickets along to you.

Tell us in the comment section below how Tesh will make your Christmas extra special, and we'll reward the tickets to the most convincing commenter.

Tickets -- 12 of them -- are in a suite with VIP parking passes and include free beer.

So waddya say? Is this your gift? Then take it!
