Garvin Brown, St. Louis Homicide No. 17; Crashes Car After Shooting

Garvin Brown died around 12:30 a.m. Saturday, February 6, after being shot several times in the neck, chest and shoulder. 

According to reports, Brown, 29, was shot in the 3600 block of Herbert but managed to drive his vehicle a few hundred feet before crashing into a fire hydrant at the corner of Herbert and N. Spring (below) near Fairground Park.

Brown, of the 3000 block of Osage Street in south St. Louis, was pronounced dead at the scene.
