For the second time in six months, a national true-crime show is spotlighting a southeastern Missouri murder. WE'RE FAMOUS!!!! And people are dying.

CBS's 48 Hours Mystery is devoting an hour Saturday at 9 p.m. CST to the murder of 19-year-old Angela Mischelle Lawless, who in 1992 was shot thricely and left to rot in her car on I-55 near Benton, Missouri.

You might remember this one, because the guy who did 15 years in the slammer for the deed wasn't actually guilty. Joshua Kezer was his name, and he was exonerated last year in thanks in part to a bang-up investigative Post-Dispatch feature by Ben Poston, who started working on the case as a grad student at Mizzou's journalism school.

CBS is calling the segment "The Girl Who Knew Too Much." In September of last years, America's Most Wanted did a piece on a Portageville, Missouri double murder.

Daily RFT thinks if we work really hard, we can produce enough murders to be on national television four times a year. How bad do we want it?
