Ass Clown of the Week: Radical Right-Wing Edition!

Which ass gets the hat?

Perhaps it was the presence in the Show-Me State this week of that good-fer-nothin', socialist Barack Obama, or maybe it was just that their haldol injections were wearing off. Whatever the case, Missouri's right-wing extremists were tripping over themselves this week for ridicule.

So, let's oblige them with a special right-wing edition of Daily RFT's "Ass Clown of the Week." Continue on to read each nominee's credentials and cast your vote.

1. Cynthia Davis: A perennial Ass Clown candidate, the Republican state rep from O'Fallon made news twice this week. First for sponsoring a law that would extend concealed-carry into churches. Second for proposing another law that would require the terminally ill to be fed with feeding tubes even if they don't what them.

2. Jim Hoft: The conservative blogger behind Gateway Pundit seemed to get a perverse pleasure recently with fellatio pointers published in a local "liberal rag" of a student paper. Hoft also made news this week for spreading the erroneous report that Obama planned to ban recreational fishing.

3. Roy Blunt: The Missouri congressman making a bid for U.S. Senate said he was "honored" this week to be included in a list of the nation's most environmentally unfriendly legislators.

4. John Burns: The man behind Citizen's for Better Transit -- a group trying to kill a county tax hike for public transportation -- admitted this week that he's buddies with Tea Party pranksters James O'Keefe and Joseph Basel, who were arrested this year for attempting to hack a Louisiana senator's phone lines. Last November, Burns teamed with O'Keefe and Basel to create a communist gulag on Wash U's campus and sabotage a LGBT rally outside the St. Louis Cathedral Basilica.
