KMOX is reporting that the police car was chasing a Honda northbound down the street when it slammed into another vehicle. The radio station reports that the officer was unconscious and not breathing when he was removed from wreckage and transported to Barnes Hospital.

Another victim was also transported to the hospital. The police department is holding a news conference this afternoon to discuss the matter. The police hotline currently states that the officer's condition is "unknown."
