Yes, Marc Bulger was released today -- two-and-a-half weeks prior to the NFL draft and the Rams predicted pick of Oklahoma QB Sam Bradford.

As the Sporting News reports this afternoon, Bulger compiled a 41-54 record during his eight seasons taking snaps for the Rams.

Said Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo in a statement:

"It is always hard to part ways with someone you care for and appreciate. I was fortunate as a first-year head coach to have Marc on our team. I will always be indebted to him for his work ethic, character and leadership. We wish him and his family nothing but the best."

*apologies to Gerald Ford.
