Ira Summers: St. Louis Homicide No. 54; Bullet-Riddled Body Found on Hodiamont

Police discovered 41-year-old Ira Summers bleeding to death in the middle of Hodiamont Avenue Saturday evening around 11 p.m.

He'd been shot in the arm, chest and stomach outside a public housing project in the 1100 block of Hodiamont -- about half a mile north of the Delmar Loop. Summers was transferred to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. An investigation is ongoing.
