A month's worth of incessantly buzzing vuvuzelas and ready-made excuses for early-morning drinking came to an unforgettable end yesterday afternoon when Spain, the pre-tournament favorites, defeated the Netherlands 1-0 on Andrés Iniesta's extra time goal.

The matches might be over for the next four years but, thanks to that miracle of modern technology known as YouTube, the best moments can be replayed over and over and over on your computer screen. Here are our ten favorites.

Spanish goalkeeper Iker Casillas sheds a few tears and gives his newscaster girlfriend a mid-interview beso after winning the World Cup. Her reaction is priceless.

In this week's feature story we described the crowd's reaction at Meshuggah in the Delmar Loop after Landon Donovan's heroic last-minute goal against Algeria propelled the U.S. into the Round of 16. Here's what it looked like in restaurants and bars around the country.

Spanish announcers seriously violate the no cheering the press box rule after Iniesta's World Cup-winning goal.

Argentina coach Diego Maradona might talk trash about Pele, run over reporters with a golf cart and get his butt-kicked by Germany in the quarter-finals...but holy crap can he ever bend a free kick into the back of the net. Here's Maradona in an Argentina practice reminding everyone that he was one of the best players of the 20th century.

North Korea put up a surprisingly good fight against Brazil but still lost 2-1. The match, however, was not broadcast live in the oppressive country so citizens were left with only the state-produced highlight package. As you can see here, the footage was edited to make it appear that the communists actually won.
