The people have spoken, and at last perhaps we can put the issue to rest. In convincing fashion, readers of Daily RFT have voted Kings of Leon as the biggest Ass Clowns of the week (July 23-July 30) -- stemming from their recent concert at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater.

You know the story: the pop rockers were a few songs into their July 23 concert when they abruptly canceled the show after claiming they'd been shit on by pigeons nesting in the rafters.

Kings of Leon earned 50 percent of last week's vote. Second place went to Phillip Bandy, founder of the Fulton-based Battered Mother's Resource Fund (BMRF), with 29 percent of the vote.

Last week the Missouri Attorney General's office told Bandy to shut down his operation, accusing BMRF of soliciting donations but never implementing any of its programs and giving faulty information, such as telling mothers that other support centers would try to take their children away.
