RFT Presents "Purple Prose" -- Bad Books Read Aloud

Posted By on Wed, Aug 4, 2010 at 9:20 AM

We here at Riverfront Times get a lot of books sent our way from publishers hoping we'll review their latest manuscripts for the paper. Of these tomes, perhaps one in 100 are actually worth reading. The rest? Pure rubbish.

So, what to do with the piles of drivel spilling out of our cubicle walls? We know! How about we get local actors to come into the office and read from the books aloud? We'll call it "Purple Prose" and debut a new video each Wednesday. Here, then, is our first from the book Cook to Bang. Enjoy.

View Purple Prose on YouTube. Oh, and here is an exclusive interview with Spencer Walker, author of Cook to Bang!
