Dave Hagerty
Updated 2 p.m. Per the St. Louis police: investigators have "identified a person of interest" and are trying to locate that person.
Original story follows... Police this week tell
Daily RFT that they're "pursuing strong leads" in the search for the driver who killed musician
Dave Hagerty early Sunday morning at the intersection of Manchester and Kingshighway.
The
28-year-old and member of the band Fattback, was driving with a female companion around 2:55 a.m. August 1 when his Nissan pickup was struck by a Ford F-150 pickup. The driver of the Ford abandoned the vehicle after the crash and ran away. St. Louis police report that the Ford was not stolen, so they presumably have the registration and address of its owner.
Visitation for Hagerty begins at 3 p.m. this afternoon at Bopp Chapel in Kirkwood. Memorials contributions can be made to
Music for Life Long Achievement.
