In yet another example of how nothing is too banal for reality TV, we present you with "Yard War: Baseball" -- an hour-long special to air this fall on the DIY Network. The show will feature two St. Louis neighbors battling out for the best lawn. Oh, and the neighbors are sworn baseball enemies.

On one side are Matt and Suzanne Weis (Cardinals fans) versus their next-door neighbors (and diehard Cubs fans) Eric and Lindsay Blahah.

Filming takes place this week in the couples' Dardenne Praire subdivision, with the show airing sometime in October. Helping them prepare their lawns for "Yard War" will be former MLB pitchers Mitch Williams and Dan Plesac. (Yes, now we know what they're up to these days.)

Winners of the competition will get $10,000. Here's hoping that the Weises win. Why? Because it will be so awesome when they gloat over their neighbors: "Blahah, Blahahs. You lost! Blahah-ha-ha-ha!"
