Girlfriend Rats Out Lover: "Tired of Him Smoking Pot All Day"

Posted By on Tue, Oct 5, 2010 at 12:10 PM

Officer Lloyd Blake tells Daily RFT he had no idea what to expect when he arrived Saturday night at the Forest Manor Motel in Lebanon, Missouri -- 150 miles southwest of St. Louis.

"Someone from the hotel had dialed 911 and then hung up the phone and wouldn't answer a return call," says Blake, a three-year veteran of the Lebanon PD. "So, I knocked on the door to the room. A woman answered it. She told me she was mad that her boyfriend didn't have a job."

Blake says he informed the woman that there was nothing he could do about her boyfriend's unemployment.

"That's when she asked, 'Well, what about him smoking pot?'" says Blake. "She said she was tired of him lying around all day."

As the Lebanon Daily Record reports, the 35-year-old man then admitted having marijuana in his car and walked Blake down to the vehicle where he handed over the drug and a pipe. Blake issued the man a summons for possession and released him on the scene.

Concludes Blake: "Every once in a while we get someone who'll tell on their partner during a domestic dispute. That said, we usually have to work at it a bit harder than we did that night."
