Terrence Snipes, Demetrius Hewlett: St. Louis Homicides No. 101, 102; Shot Together Saturday

Two men exiting a home in the 4200 block of John (below) in north St. Louis were shot dead Saturday.

The murders occurred around 9:54 p.m. October 30. Police report that victims Terrence Snipes, 46, and Demetrius Hewlett, 41, were pronounced dead at the scene. Snipes lived on the street. Hewlett resided in the 2400 block of Halfner in St. Louis County.

Police have one suspect in custody, described as a 26-year-old black male. A second suspect -- a 31-year-old black male, remains at large. An investigation is ongoing.
