Comment of the Day: Phyllis Schlafly Survives on "Piss and Vinegar"

Posted By on Mon, Dec 27, 2010 at 4:28 PM

Today's comment comes in response to a message left on post about Phyllis Schlafly, in which the conservative firebrand (and St. Louis native) equates marrying gays to respecting gays. (Schalfly is against both.)

That prompted reader "Mike" to tell the 86-year-old Schlafly to "die prematurely."

Nathaniel Kabal responds to Mike:
Prematurely? She's been kept alive for decades solely on piss and vinegar. How could her passing possibly be anything but timely?
