Prepare Ye: The Launch of Tea Party Review is Nigh

Posted By on Wed, Feb 9, 2011 at 8:00 AM

In case you haven't noticed, the Tea Party isn't particularly pleased with the way it's being portrayed in the mainstream media. Or as Katrina Pierson, a founding member of the Dallas Tea Party, puts it:

People are weary of the distorted version of the Tea Party movement that we see in most of the media. Tea Party members want a magazine for the movement, created by members of the movement and reflecting the values of the movement. And Tea Party Review is the magazine we've been waiting for.

Tea Party Review officially launches on Friday at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington, DC. It will appear monthly and will, of course, have a web presence. Subscriptions are $34.95. The magazine is published by Higher Standard Publishers, the good people who brought the world the children's book Help! Mom! Radicals are Ruining My Country!.

No, Dana Loesch is not part of the editorial board. Neither is Kevin Jackson or anybody else from the St. Louis Tea Party.

In the first issue, says Pierson, "there's a profile of the first Tea Partiers elected to statewide office, a look at key figures in history such as Alexis de Tocqueville and Booker T. Washington, and even a comic strip about a Tea Party congressman dealing with the Red Chinese."

Daily RFT, however, is most looking forward to reading "The Left's War on Science and Reason" and "How the Top Colleges Turn Kids into Stupid Leftists".
