PHOTO: Another Mountain Lion Spotted in Missouri

For the fifth time in four months (and just the 15th time in 16 years) a mountain lion has been confirmed in Missouri.

The latest evidence (above) comes from Linn County in north central Missouri. That's where a landowner captured the sight of a cougar on a trail camera. The images were snapped back in late December but the Missouri Department of Conservation was only notified of the photos this week.

Conservation officials believe the animal may have a radio collar on its neck as it appears there's an antenna over its head. That would make it unlikely, then, that it was the same mountain lion that Amish hunters killed January 22 in nearby Macon County.
