Discount Snips for Missouri Cats

Bob Barker was right: You have to get your cats spayed or neutered. As adorable as you might think kittens are (and you would be 100 percent right; cats are the planet's finest species), they need a lot of care and resources. Un-altered felines are at increased risk for cancers, hernias and uterine infections. Plus, there are few things more nerve-wracking than the sound of a lady-cat in heat...shudder.

Luckily, throughout February and March, the Humane Society of Missouri is offering deep discounts on the simple, low-risk surgeries through their CatSNIP program. Missouri residents can get their pals spayed or neutered for a tenth of the usual cost -- $9.95 instead of $99.95. Cats have to be at least eight weeks old and weigh two pounds; they must also be Missouri residents.

The discounted surgeries will be performed at their city location, 1201 Macklind Avenue, and in the Westport area at 2400 Drilling Service Road in Maryland Heights. Call (314) 951-1534. And listen to the man with the Beauties and the Big Wheel: "Help control the pet population. Have your pets spayed or neutered."
