Comment of the Day: Post on Porn-Actress-Cum-Science-Teacher Is "Atrocity"

Posted By on Wed, Mar 9, 2011 at 3:54 PM

I don't know about you, but first thing I wanted to know when hearing that Parkway North science teacher Tera Myers was outed as being a former porn actress was, how many films and what were their names?

My post revealing the titles of some of those films (Rug Munchers and Butt Brats 7) was not the kind of information reader Funk Thompson wanted to learn. He (or she?) writes:
This article is an atrocity; you are taking advantage of this woman's unfortunate situation. Many of us have done things we are not proud of, made career or personal decisions we later regret. And we live in a country that is extremely bipolar about sex; on one hand, the puritan values we seem to espouse, while on the other being the largest consumers of pornography on the planet. The very politicians and religious leaders who are the most vocal against homosexuality, pornography, or sexual content in media usually wind up getting caught in prostitution stings or having affairs. I do agree that maybe an ex porn star might make a better career choice than high school teacher (college teacher would be much less "distracting" I suppose.) But in typical fashion, this article merely points at the spectacle of it instead of discussing anything of import.
