Punks Steal Historic Piece of Union Station After St. Pat's Parade Downtown

Posted By on Fri, Mar 18, 2011 at 11:16 AM

Anybody know these chumps? Last Saturday afternoon, while many green-clad St. Louisans were sh$thouse-wasted from St. Paddy's Day festivities downtown, these scoundrels were stealing history -- specifically, one of the "finials" (or big metal balls) from the main staircase at Union Station that descends from the famous whispering arch.

According to the time stamp on the surveillance video, it appears they actually swiped the thing at 5:27 p.m.

Anybody who's got the dope on these rascals should call Union Station at (314) 421-6655 or the cops at (314) 231-1212. Here's another view of them:
