[UPDATE] Christopher McKay: Man Shot to Death Outside His Northwoods Home

Update: Marquis Alston, 21, has been charged with second-degree murder and armed criminal action. He is currently being held on $250,000 cash-only bond. Police report that Alston, of the 6800 block of Pasadena in Northwoods, got into an argument with McKay and then shot him.

A 51-year-old Northwoods man is dead after being shot last night while standing outside his garage near Natural Bridge Road and Avondale Avenue in Northwoods.

St. Louis County police report victim Chrisotpher McKay was transported to the hospital shortly after police arrived at the scene around 7 p.m. McCay died shortly after arriving at the hospital.

Police took two suspects into custody. Both suspects are acquaintances of McKay. Their names will be made public if/when charges are filed. Anyone with information on this case is encouraged to contact the St. Louis County Police at 889-2341 or Crimestoppers at 866-371-TIPS.
