The name John Ross made news yesterday when Peter Kinder told media outlets that Ross leaked the Riverfront Times a photo of the lieutenant governor and an ex-stripper named Tammy Chapman.

Kinder went on to assert that Ross is a Democratic operative who works as a contributing editor for the Riverfront Times. As Ross told the Riverfront Times yesterday, all of those allegations are false. He isn't our source. (We can attest to that.) He's never worked for the RFT. (We can also attest to that.) In fact, the only time he's been featured in the Riverfront Times is when the paper ran what Ross calls a "hatchet job" on him in 1998 when he was running for Congress as a gun-toting Democrat.

But as Ross told KTRS' McGraw Milhaven this morning, he's more of a Libertarian than anything and certainly not a "Democratic operative" as Peter Kinder suggests. Ross also told Milhaven that despite Kinder's allegations against him, he'd still vote for him for governor any day over Jay Nixon, whom he sees as being soft on Second Amendment rights.

But don't just take our word for it. Click the links below to the Milhaven interview and hear it directly from the horse's mouth.
