Attention ladies: If Brett Carson ever asks you to "drive around" with him, run away. Quickly.
Carson's most recent girlfriend discovered this the hard way, according to authorities, following a bizarre domestic disturbance last weekend in southern Illinois.
The Madison County Sheriff's Department arrested the 20-year-old Carson early Friday after he allegedly beat his girlfriend and then forced her into the trunk of his vehicle. Carson, of Edwardsville, then drove around until around 3 a.m. when he came to a stop in the 7000 block of Illinois Route 111 in South Roxana and let her out of the vehicle.
Sheriff deputies arrested Carson after the girlfriend recounted what happened. He's now charged with felonious unlawful restraint and in jail with bail set at $50,000.
