Our reign is over. St. Louis is no longer the Most Dangerous City in America, a title it held in '06 and again in 2010.

Flint, Michigan, has stolen our thunder to become the new No. 1, according to the latest crime rankings from the always controversial CQ Press.

The publisher of crime data statistics says that Flint earned a score of 423 for composite crimes (murder, rape, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, and motor vehicle theft) in 2010 above the national average. St. Louis earned a score of 355 to come in fourth -- a ranking it earned in 2008 as well.

Below is the ranking of the Top 10 "most dangerous" cities, according to CQ Press.

  1. Flint, Michigan
  2. Camden, New Jersey
  3. Detroit, Michigan
  4. St. Louis, Missouri
  5. Oakland, California
  6. Cleveland, Ohio
  7. Baltimore, Maryland
  8. Jackson, Mississippi
  9. Newark, New Jersey
  10. Richmond, California
