James M. Clavin: St. Louis Homicide No. 8; Shot During Argument

James M. Clavin, a 34-year old white male, was walking in the 1500 block of South Eighth Street in Soulard (above) at 2:36 a.m. this morning when he got into an argument with unidentified males (number not specified). Witnesses heard gunshots and saw the suspects run off into the night. Clavin was taken to an area hospital with wounds in his chest and groin, and died there. The investigation continues.
