Nicole Lang: St. Louis Homicide No. 62; Shot in Walnut Park East on Bloody Saturday

Between 11 p.m. and 3 a.m. Saturday night, the city was wracked by gunfire. Eight people were shot in six separate incidents. Nicole Lang, 33, was the lone fatality of this bloody Saturday night, as she and a 31-year-old male companion were shot while walking in the 5000 block of Genevieve Avenue in Walnut Park East at 3 a.m. Lang died a short time later in the hospital. The male victim survived, but remains hospitalized. Police continue to investigate the incident.
