Sportscaster Joe Buck did some very unusual  double-duty yesterday in San Francisco.

He first announced the 49ers' win over the the New York Giants at Candlestick Park, then left at 4:32 p.m. and hustled over to AT&T Park by 5:04 p.m. to announce the Cards' NCLS Game 1 victory over San Francisco.

How did he make this seven-mile journey so quickly? Did FOX send him a car? No. They put him on a trolley! Clang clang clang!

FOX Sports called it "part Steve McQueen, part Rose Bowl Parade."

Mmm, let's call it zero percent Steve McQueen.

As you can see in the video above, ol' Joe was aided by a police escort of at least two motorcycle cops.

That's going to speed your trolley ride a little bit. (You can also see them in another YouTube clip here.)

Steve McQueen didn't tear through San Francisco because he had police escorts. Steve McQueen tore through San Francisco because he was a flipping baddass, a la Bullitt:
We're sure the cops in San Fran closed off the streets so Steve-O could do all this, but let's wait for Joe to do more than step gingerly onto a trolley before we start making reckless comparisons.
