Steinberg opens Friday, fools! - IMAGE VIA
Ah, how we adore Steinberg Skating Rink in Forest Park - the largest outdoor rink the Midwest! You can go with the fam! With a first date! With stupid friends! They have a fire pit. There's hot chocolate. The cops will never look for you there.

But what we love the most is their totally unambiguous scheduling. From the website:

Steinberg [offers] public skating all day, everyday--including all holidays. We are always open no matter what the weather or temperature is. Your skate admission is valid for all day. You may arrive at anytime during business hours & skate as long as you like. We do not have sessions. We offer open public skating all day, everyday.

So wait - are you open in the morning?

We offer open public skating all day, everyday.

What about after my afternoon cubicle nap?

We offer open public skating all day, everyday.

What about after work, at approximately "Beer Thirty," knowwhuddImsayin?

We offer open public skating all day, everyday.

What if SARS kills every cute baby, puppy, kitten and rainbow,  and America will never know happiness again?

We offer open public skating all day, everyday.

You can also take skating lessons at Steinberg.

Some more deets, sent from City Hall:

Hours are 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10:00 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday.

The skating fee is $6.  Skate rental is $4.  The entrance fee is for all day and is only for skating.  The rink has free Wi-Fi and has added new televisions and coin operated lockers.
