Tierrance Davis -- a 17-year-old from the 4800 block of North 20th Street -- has been charged with last week's murder of the West County man who was only trying to sell his car.

According to court records and media reports, victim Deondre Elem was 29 years old and a resident of Chesterfield who was looking to sell off his 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo.

He recently came into contact with Davis, who apparently showed interest in buying the vehicle.

On Thursday, they arranged to meet in the 4300 block of Fairfax in the Vandeventer neighborhood.

But when Elem arrived, cops allege, Davis shot him in the head.  Davis climbed into the car, then got back out, shot Elem in the head a second time, then ran him over.

Cops later found the vehicle and Davis, too. He was arrested. The cops say that "preliminary laboratory analysis indicates a gun located in his home was the gun that killed [Deondre Elem]."

Davis has been charged with first-degree murder, robbery, and two counts of armed criminal action.
