  • It's only September, but colds are already popping up in St. Louis.

It's still officially summer, but allergies, common cold and fevers are already popping up in St. Louis.

That's according to the website/app Sickweather, which uses commentary on social media to track illness across the country in real time. Choose "local view" to see what's happening in your neighborhood; use "national view" to freak yourself out about what's on the horizon. The company says it tallies two million reports every month.

So what do we have to look forward to in the Gateway City as we head into fall? Well, the common cold seems to be massing in the Southeast and heading towards the Midwest. Fever seems to be heating up in both the East and the Kansas City area. And there are plenty of reports of both, as well as allergies, currently cropping up all over the St. Louis area. Suffice it to say, this isn't a app/map that tracks good news!

If you download the app, you can get real-time alerts whenever you enter a "sick zone." So if any hypochondriacs feel like freaking yourself out this fall, well, there's an app for that. Yay?
