"What kind of shit is this?"

A man's voice on a Facebook live video posted this afternoon perfectly encapsulates the mood in north St. Louis right now, where several cows are currently running wild in the streets.

A now-viral video posted by Facebook user Crystal Lasha shows six cows running down North Grand Boulevard in the middle of the afternoon. According to police, the cows escaped an area slaughterhouse today in a heroic bid for freedom. As of the time of this posting, one of the escapees is reportedly already in custody, while the other five remain at large.

KMOV is currently following the livestock around with a helicopter and broadcasting the ongoing escape attempt on Facebook in real time. Check that out below:

Update: The cows have all been captured and returned to the slaughterhouse, but at least one appears to be saved. See our latest post for more detail, as well as efforts surrounding the others.
