  • This 'like' has been ready and waiting on Kurt Bahr's Twitter Account since 2014.

Missouri state Representative Kurt Bahr (R-St. Charles) supported Ted Cruz during the 2016 presidential primary, and now, thanks to the fiendish temptations of the Twitter "like" button, the two Republican politicians can boast of one more shared interest: getting busted faving MILF porn.

As was reported pretty much everywhere today, Texas Senator Cruz's Twitter account "liked" a tweet by a porn account, a graphic clip from a video titled, uh, "Moms Bang Teens 20."

While there's no accounting for taste — and Cruz has since blamed a "staffer" for the "like" — Missouri's Bahr also some explaining to do. Up until the last hour or so, Bahr's Twitter history showed that his account had similarly "liked" a photo tweeted out by @BadassMILFs.

The photo, captioned "Ready and waiting," shows a woman striking a porny, rump-up pose while smiling over her shoulder toward the camera.

While Twitter does not list specific dates for each "like," this particular tweet was first posted in March 2014. Judging by the surrounding posts, Bahr's account appears to have liked the MILF tweet in the summer or fall of that year.

Overall, it was just the twelfth tweet "liked" by Bahr's account since it was set up, and pretty much the only one that wasn't standard Missouri Republican stuff. Right around the same time, in fact, Bahr's account "liked" a tweet from U.S. Representative Blaine Luetkemeyer: "Looking forward to seeing more Republican gains in the U.S. House. We need more allies championing our values!"

A voicemail left with Bahr's legislative office was not immediately returned this afternoon. However, we can't help but suspect they got our message: The "like" was removed around 4:30 p.m.

Now all that's left in the standard "politician made an oopsie" playbook is to assign a fall guy. Will Bahr go with the standard "I got hacked" line? Blame a staffer? Whatever he chooses, the day's news just goes to show that something must be done to protect our Republican politicians from the danger of Twitter MILFs.

Sounds like a job for another special legislative session.
